Abstract
The present article consists of a comparative study of the figurations of childhood in two brazilian literary works: O Ateneu (1888), by Raul Pompéia, and Memórias (1972-1983), by Pedro Nava. Its aim is to detect among its intertextual relations the narrative differences between both texts, and to emphasize their fictional recreations of a similar – but far from identical – human experience at brazilian boarding schools, from 19th to 20th century.
